Our headshot session will cost you $400 plus tax.
Please don't let the low cost scare you away. We pride ourselves on giving you the same quality that you would expect from the typical NYC photographer charging you upwards of $800-$1200.
We simply believe that this is too much to pay for headshots, especially for someone who would like to get them re-done every year or so (rent and groceries are always nice, too). As mentioned before, Kathleen and I are actors ourselves and have found that cost alone has prevented many of our friends in the business from getting headshots in a timely manner. We hope to change that for as many fellow performers as possible, and have lots of fun in the process!
What you will get for $400:
- A 2-3 HOUR SESSION WITH ROUGHLY 250 EXPOSURES (similar to 6+ rolls of film). I delete many shots as I go, throughout the session, so the 250 we end up with are generally great shots. I then take time to go through them and select the best of the best. Usually, you end up with about 150 shots. In doing this, I hope to overwhelm you a bit less. I don't believe anyone should need to take 500+ photos in order to acheive 10-20 great ones.
- 2 RETOUCHED AND FINISHED IMAGES emailed to you and ready for print. I prefer to do this myself because I know that I'm willing to TAKE THE TIME NECESSARY to give you a beautiful finished product. I can't say that for someone behind a counter who's never even met you. If you'd like additional finished shots, they are $20 each. If you would like to buy the entire session on CD, it can be available for an additional $100. That way you have all the shots available to you for future use.
- THERE IS NO LIMIT ON WARDROBE CHANGES, but on average, 3-4 usually suffice (especially for comp cards). We'll send you more specific information in an email after you book, but generally speaking, it would be fine to bring several options for us all to consider.
- MAKEUP/HAIR STYLIST AVAILABLE (but not required) FOR $100. I don't require it because the highest priority is that you LOOK LIKE YOU, and you've had years of practice doing that. We will play and experiment and be creative to bring out the best in you, but it's imperative that it is still YOU. Let us know if you're interested in having someone style you and we will put you in touch with them. Expect to pay around $100 for both hair and makeup. Or, if there is someone you trust with styling skills, we can work with you. Men, Kathleen will take care of basic makeup, so a stylist is not necessary. We will send more detailed information regarding makeup specifics after you book.
- AND...
if you book with a friend you will each get $20 off your session or an additional retouched photo! Your appointments do not have to be on the same day, but you must both book at the same time.
Also, if you refer a friend to us after your session, and they mention you by name at the time of booking, you will receive an additional retouched photo and a discount off your next seesion.
For payment, we accept cash and personal checks. Also available, and preferred, we offer a safe, easy, and instant online credit card payment through PayPal. This is always nice for those short on cash.
